Job Summary

The Elite Job is looking for a passionate and student-focused Academic Counselor to join our remote team. In this role, you will guide students through their academic journey by providing personalized counseling, career advice, and educational guidance to help them achieve their goals. You will play a key role in helping learners identify suitable programs, understand career pathways, and make informed educational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one academic and career counseling to students via phone, email, or virtual meetings.

  • Understand student goals, strengths, and challenges to recommend appropriate courses or training programs.

  • Maintain accurate student records and track progress to ensure ongoing engagement and satisfaction.

  • Develop customized education plans based on student needs and institutional offerings.

  • Conduct orientation sessions and webinars to inform students about career opportunities and academic options.

  • Collaborate with faculty, admissions, and career services teams to ensure student success and retention.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends in education, skills development, and job market demands.

  • Handle inquiries, provide prompt responses, and follow up to ensure smooth onboarding and continued student support.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for mentoring and guiding students.

  • Strong problem-solving, listening, and analytical abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and virtual communication platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

  • Empathetic and patient approach to dealing with diverse student backgrounds.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in academic counseling, student support, or educational consulting preferred.

  • Fresh graduates with strong communication skills and a desire to build a career in education counseling are also encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours with the ability to schedule sessions based on student availability.

  • Monday to Friday (occasional weekend availability for webinars or special sessions).
