About the job

Based at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Engineering Department, The BMS Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining Engineering Control Room in accordance with EPH standards, to achieve optimum product quality. The BMS Operator reports to the ELV/IT Systems Engineer.

As a BMS Operator, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the central monitoring station and all associated systems.
  • Manage and respond to 24-hour engineering emergency calls.
  • Prepare and generate diagnostic reports from systems to support the technical team, in accordance with the Control Room Operators’ Procedure Manual.
  • Monitor, operate, and control the Central Fire Alarm System.
  • Record completed work orders in the database and coordinate follow-up with field staff.
  • Liaise with the Fire Department, Gas, Electricity/Water Departments, Security, and building management personnel during emergencies.
  • Respond to system alarm reports and take prompt, appropriate action to resolve issues.

As a BMS Operator, we expect from you

  • Previous experience in the same role in luxury property, resort experience is a plus
  • Certification or training in Building Management Systems (BMS) or related control systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong ability to resolve engineering issues using both theoretical and practical knowledge
  • Proficient in predictive maintenance and the use of maintenance software applications
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
