Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Construction Engineer to oversee and manage infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, highways, and urban development works. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver large-scale infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and supervise civil engineering infrastructure projects.

  • Prepare detailed project reports, cost estimates, and timelines.

  • Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications, codes, and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and government authorities to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Conduct site inspections, resolve technical challenges, and provide engineering solutions.

  • Manage resources, materials, and labor to optimize project efficiency.

  • Prepare documentation, progress reports, and project updates for stakeholders.

  • Ensure quality control, risk management, and compliance with local and international engineering standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred).

  • Professional certification (PE, PMP, or equivalent) is an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles and construction methodologies.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, and other project management tools.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–7 years of experience in civil construction, preferably with large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • Proven track record of managing projects from planning to completion.

  • Experience in working with contractors, vendors, and government bodies.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

  • Occasional weekend work or extended hours may be required based on project deadlines.

  • Site visits and travel may be necessary depending on project location.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and materials science.

  • Familiarity with construction safety standards (OSHA or equivalent).

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Skilled in project budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Strong team player with the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
