Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dynamic and creative Community Manager to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, engaging, and nurturing our online communities across multiple platforms. You will play a key role in driving meaningful interactions, managing brand reputation, and ensuring that our online presence aligns with our mission and values. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to increase brand awareness and loyalty.

  • Manage and moderate online communities on social media, forums, and digital channels.

  • Respond to community comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Create engaging content and discussions that encourage participation and feedback from the community.

  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to align community activities with organizational goals.

  • Identify and engage with key influencers, brand advocates, and community partners.

  • Track, analyze, and report on community engagement metrics and recommend improvements.

  • Manage online events, webinars, or Q&A sessions to strengthen community relationships.

  • Handle escalations or conflicts within the community professionally and diplomatically.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, social media tools, and best practices to keep the community vibrant and growing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Community Manager, Social Media Manager, or in a similar role.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of online community dynamics and digital engagement strategies.

  • Proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Reddit, Discord, etc.).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret engagement data and insights.

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using community management tools, CRMs, and analytics platforms.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing online communities or social media channels.

  • Experience working remotely or in distributed teams is preferred.

  • Prior experience in consultancy, education, or corporate communication industries will be an added advantage.

Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours based on global time zones.

  • Must be available for key community engagement activities and virtual meetings as required.

  • Full-time (40 hours per week) remote role.
