Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dependable and skilled Concrete Mixer Driver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent driving skills, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to support site operations to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive concrete mixer trucks to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to designated sites.

  • Inspect vehicles before and after use to ensure safe operation and compliance with company standards.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the mixer truck, including routine washing and minor maintenance.

  • Load, mix, and unload concrete according to job specifications and safety guidelines.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and construction teams regarding delivery schedules.

  • Ensure concrete is delivered in the right condition and quantity within set timeframes.

  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while on the road and on construction sites.

  • Complete delivery documentation, logs, and reports accurately.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

  • Proven experience as a heavy vehicle driver, preferably in construction or concrete delivery.

  • Ability to operate mixer trucks and related equipment with precision and safety.

  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.

  • Basic mechanical knowledge for handling minor vehicle issues.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as cleaning the truck and assisting at the site.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of driving experience with heavy vehicles or mixer trucks in a construction environment.

  • Prior experience in concrete delivery is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard working hours: 8–10 hours per day, Monday to Saturday.

  • Overtime and weekend shifts may be required based on project needs.
