Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Quality Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet established standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction practices, keen attention to detail, and the ability to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality work within the civil and infrastructure construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect construction sites, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.

  • Conduct regular audits and prepare quality inspection reports documenting observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality issues and recommend improvements.

  • Monitor adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality control procedures.

  • Verify that construction activities are performed according to project schedules and timelines.

  • Ensure that corrective and preventive measures are implemented effectively.

  • Support continuous improvement in quality standards and processes across all construction projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.

  • Familiarity with inspection tools, materials testing methods, and documentation processes.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies or non-compliance.

  • Strong communication skills for reporting findings and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction quality inspection, civil engineering, or site supervision.

  • Prior experience in large-scale infrastructure, residential, or commercial projects is highly preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position with standard working hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • Flexibility may be required depending on project deadlines and site requirements.
