Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Timekeeper to join our site office team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately tracking and recording employee work hours, managing daily time logs, and supporting payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical accuracy, good communication skills, and a solid understanding of construction site operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate daily records of employee work hours, attendance, and overtime.

  • Collect and verify timecards, sign-in sheets, and electronic clock-in records.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and site regulations.

  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly time reports for payroll processing.

  • Assist supervisors and site managers in resolving discrepancies in time records.

  • Monitor and track subcontractor and temporary staff hours.

  • Support site administration tasks, including filing, document control, and reporting.

  • Communicate effectively with HR, Payroll, and Project Managers regarding timekeeping updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in administration or accounting is preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and timekeeping software.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee records.

  • Effective communication skills to interact with site staff and management.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll support, or administrative work (preferably in construction or related industries).

  • Familiarity with site-based work environments will be an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Standard: Full-time, 8 hours per day, 6 days a week.

  • Flexibility required to adjust hours based on project schedules and site requirements.

  • Knowledge of payroll systems and timekeeping procedures.

  • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
