Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a compassionate and qualified Counsellor / Counselling Psychologist to provide professional mental health support through virtual sessions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counselling psychology, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal communication. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct online counselling sessions with clients via video, phone, or chat platforms.

  • Assess client needs through interviews, observations, and psychometric tools.

  • Develop treatment and care plans that address the clients emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs.

  • Provide short-term or long-term therapy based on the clients requirements.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in counselling practices.

  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.

  • Support clients in building coping strategies and improving mental resilience.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals if required to ensure holistic care.

  • Maintain accurate session records and prepare progress reports.

  • Stay updated with current research, best practices, and new therapeutic approaches.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology (mandatory).

  • Certification or license in counselling or therapy (preferred).

  • Excellent listening, empathy, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in conducting remote sessions using video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).

  • Sound knowledge of counselling ethics, confidentiality, and data protection practices.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in counselling or psychological support services.

  • Experience in online counselling or teletherapy will be considered an advantage.
