Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking an experienced and analytical Data Scientist to join our clients growing technology and innovation team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Develop predictive and prescriptive models using statistical techniques, machine learning, and AI frameworks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business problems and propose data-driven solutions.

  • Design and implement data pipelines and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.

  • Communicate analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Conduct experiments, evaluate models, and continuously improve algorithms for higher accuracy.

  • Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to present insights in an engaging and clear manner.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

  • Strong experience with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.).

  • Expertise in data visualization and BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

  • In-depth understanding of data mining, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.

  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or AWS cloud platforms.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of proven work experience as a Data Scientist or in a related analytical role.

  • Prior experience in handling real-world datasets and deploying machine learning models into production environments is preferred.

  • Exposure to business intelligence, automation, or data engineering projects will be an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position based in Singapore.

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexibility may be required for project needs).
