Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced, innovative technology team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in automating deployment processes, enhancing system performance, and ensuring the stability and scalability of applications across various environments. This position offers a unique opportunity for candidates looking to relocate to Singapore under S Pass or Employment Pass (EP) sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

  • Collaborate with software development teams to optimize deployment strategies and troubleshoot issues.

  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure optimal uptime.

  • Maintain and enhance container orchestration environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Implement robust security and compliance practices in cloud and on-premises systems.

  • Support disaster recovery and backup processes for critical systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Systems Engineer.

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).

  • Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code principles.

  • Working knowledge of networking, load balancing, and security best practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Experience

  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or System Administration.

  • Experience in working within agile and cross-functional development environments.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position (Monday to Friday).

  • Standard Singapore working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (SGT).

  • Occasional flexibility required for deployment or maintenance windows.
