We are urgently looking for a Draftsman (Carpentry) for our factory in Fujairah, UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design analysis: Review production drawings, project requirements, and technical documents to understand the precise details for each component.
  • Create cutting lists: Generate detailed lists of all parts to be cut, including dimensions, material type, and quantity, to provide for factory fabrication.
  • Utilize optimization software: Employ specialized software to generate efficient cutting layouts, minimizing material waste and ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure accuracy: Verify that dimensions, sizes, and specifications on the cutting list match approved drawings.
  • Coordinate with teams: Liaise with design, engineering, and production departments to resolve any discrepancies and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Manage documentation: Maintain organized records of all cutting lists, delivery lists, and material tracking for each project.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Technical drawing interpretation: Ability to read and understand production drawings.
  • Software proficiency: Familiarity with cutting optimization software and basic computer knowledge.
  • Material knowledge: Understanding of different materials used in the factory's specific industry (e.g., woodworking, joinery).
  • Attention to detail: A keen eye for precision to ensure the accuracy of the cutting lists.
