Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking skilled and reliable Drywall Installers to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing drywall panels to create smooth, finished interior walls and ceilings across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, mark, cut, and fit drywall panels to specified dimensions.

  • Install drywall sheets to walls and ceilings using the appropriate tools and fastening methods.

  • Tape, mud, and sand joints to prepare surfaces for painting or finishing.

  • Repair damaged drywall and ensure surfaces are smooth and ready for final finishes.

  • Work with blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to complete tasks accurately.

  • Operate hand and power tools safely, maintaining proper upkeep of equipment.

  • Collaborate with other tradespeople (painters, carpenters, electricians) to ensure seamless project completion.

  • Follow all safety guidelines and comply with company and site regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven ability to install drywall with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Skilled in taping, mudding, and finishing drywall surfaces.

  • Physical stamina to lift heavy sheets and work in varying conditions.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Drywall Installer or in a similar construction trade.

  • Full-time position with standard construction site hours (typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday).

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project deadlines.
