Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our construction team. The role involves installing, repairing, and finishing a wide range of flooring materials including wood, tile, vinyl, laminate, and carpet. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, technical expertise in flooring techniques, and the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, and lay various types of flooring materials with precision.

  • Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces before installation.

  • Install hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, or carpet according to client specifications.

  • Apply adhesives, grout, sealants, and finishes as required.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized flooring equipment safely.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other tradespeople to meet project requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction or flooring preferred.

  • Proven ability to install different types of flooring (wood, vinyl, tile, carpet, laminate).

  • Strong knowledge of measuring, cutting, and installation techniques.
