Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking reliable and skilled Fork-Lift / FLT Drivers to join our logistics and warehouse operations across the UK. This position is ideal for individuals who hold a valid FLT license and are eager to work in a structured, safety-first warehouse environment. The role involves efficient handling, storage, and movement of goods using forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified and licensed candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.

  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure proper maintenance and safety compliance.

  • Move stock to designated storage areas and ensure accurate stacking and labeling.

  • Assist with inventory management, including scanning, counting, and tracking stock.

  • Follow health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet dispatch and delivery schedules.

  • Report any damages, discrepancies, or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.

  • Support general warehouse duties when required, such as packing, labeling, and order preparation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) license or equivalent certification (Counterbalance or Reach preferred).

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory systems.

  • Ability to handle goods carefully and operate forklifts in confined spaces.

  • Good communication skills and teamwork attitude.

  • Basic English reading and writing skills for interpreting labels and instructions.

  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift or move heavy materials safely.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts or working in a warehouse/logistics environment.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position (40–48 hours per week).

  • Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, or night rotations depending on warehouse schedule.
