Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and professional French Interpreter (Remote) to provide accurate and culturally sensitive language interpretation between English and French. The ideal candidate will facilitate clear and effective communication for international clients, business partners, and internal teams. This position requires exceptional linguistic abilities, strong listening skills, and an understanding of cultural nuances to ensure meaning and intent are maintained during interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time interpretation (verbal or written) between English and French during meetings, phone calls, video conferences, or written communications.

  • Translate and interpret technical, business, and general conversations accurately and efficiently.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all interpreted and translated information.

  • Prepare and review translation materials to ensure linguistic accuracy and contextual appropriateness.

  • Support cross-functional communication between clients, executives, and staff in French-speaking regions.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry-specific terminology and cultural developments.

  • Assist in proofreading, editing, and verifying translated content as needed.

  • Ensure professional etiquette and cultural sensitivity during all interactions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in French Language, Translation, Linguistics, Communication, or a related field.

  • Proven fluency in both written and spoken French and English (native or near-native proficiency).

  • Excellent interpretation and translation accuracy.

  • Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to convey tone and intent clearly.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and other virtual communication tools.

  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of professional experience as an interpreter or translator.

  • Prior experience working in a multicultural or international business environment preferred.

  • Experience with legal, medical, or technical interpretation will be an advantage.

Working Hours
