Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking skilled and detail-oriented Painters to join our construction project teams. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to various surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, knowledge of surface preparation, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer.

  • Mix and match paint colors to meet project requirements.

  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

  • Ensure high-quality and uniform application on walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces.

  • Follow safety protocols and ensure proper use of protective gear and equipment.

  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, durability, and adherence to project standards.

  • Maintain painting tools, brushes, rollers, and spray equipment in good condition.

  • Collaborate with construction teams to meet deadlines and project specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Painter in construction or related projects.

  • Knowledge of various painting techniques and surface preparation methods.

  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Familiarity with safety standards and protective measures.

  • Physical stamina and ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, or in confined spaces.

Experience

  • Minimum: 1–3 years of professional painting experience in construction projects.

  • Apprenticeship or vocational training in painting and finishing is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard work hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime or weekend work may be required based on project deadlines).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Expertise in color mixing, matching, and finishing techniques.

  • Knowledge of paints, stains, varnishes, and coating materials.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.

  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
