Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking hardworking and reliable Paving Workers to join our team for asphalt and road construction projects. This role involves assisting with the preparation, placement, and finishing of asphalt surfaces to ensure high-quality roadways, driveways, and pavements. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare construction sites by cleaning, leveling, and setting up materials for paving projects.

  • Assist in the laying, spreading, raking, and compacting of asphalt and other road materials.

  • Operate or support the use of paving equipment such as rollers, pavers, and compactors (under supervision or as skilled).

  • Ensure proper alignment, thickness, and smoothness of asphalt surfaces.

  • Follow safety guidelines and wear protective gear at all times.

  • Assist in loading and unloading materials and tools at the worksite.

  • Report any equipment issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to required standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor labor for extended periods.

  • Basic understanding of road construction or paving techniques (training can be provided).

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.

  • Good communication skills and reliability.

Experience

  • Previous experience in road construction, paving, or general labor preferred but not mandatory.

Working Hours
