Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking skilled and reliable Plasterers to join our team of construction professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster, stucco, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, and building structures to achieve a smooth and durable surface. This role is vital in ensuring high-quality finishing work on residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, leveling, and applying bonding agents.

  • Mix and apply plaster, stucco, or similar materials using hand tools or mechanical sprayers.

  • Smooth and finish surfaces to required specifications and decorative styles.

  • Repair cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections with plaster or patching compounds.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.

  • Operate and maintain plastering tools and equipment safely.

  • Collaborate with site managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of plastering techniques, materials, and finishing methods.

  • Ability to prepare, mix, and apply plaster consistently and efficiently.

  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.

  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and measurements.

  • Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience as a Plasterer in the building construction industry.

  • Experience with both traditional and modern plastering techniques is preferred.

  • Apprenticeship or vocational training in plastering will be an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time role, typically 40–48 hours per week.

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project schedules.

  • Knowledge of different plastering materials (gypsum, lime, cement, etc.).

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
