Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Road Construction Crew Members. In this role, you will contribute to the successful completion of road and infrastructure projects by performing a variety of manual labor tasks, operating equipment, and supporting site supervisors. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about construction work, enjoy working outdoors, and want to build a long-term career in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of roads, highways, and related infrastructure.

  • Operate and handle basic construction tools, machinery, and equipment safely.

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated areas.

  • Prepare worksites by clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and setting up barricades.

  • Follow instructions from supervisors and foremen to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

  • Assist in laying asphalt, concrete, gravel, and other road materials.

  • Comply with all safety regulations and wear required protective gear at all times.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the worksite.

  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not mandatory).

  • Basic knowledge of construction practices and equipment use.

  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.

  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience

  • Previous experience in road construction, general labor, or related construction work is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn will also be considered.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard working hours are 8–10 hours per day, Monday through Saturday.

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project deadlines.
