Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Ruby on Rails Developer to join our remote development team in Spain. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust web applications using Ruby on Rails.

  • Build reusable, efficient, and scalable code components for future use.

  • Integrate data storage solutions including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, front-end developers, and project managers.

  • Implement and maintain APIs to support internal and third-party integrations.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and performance tuning for optimal product quality.

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues, and deploy effective solutions in a timely manner.

  • Contribute to technical documentation and ensure codebase consistency and clarity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails framework (minimum 3 years experience).

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.

  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.

  • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

  • Familiarity with Git, RESTful APIs, and JSON.

  • Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.

  • Prior experience working in remote or distributed teams is highly desirable.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) preferred.

Working Hours

  • Flexible remote working schedule based on Central European Time (CET).

  • Full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week.
