Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a Senior Procurement Category Manager – Technology to lead and manage global procurement strategies for IT and technology categories. This role involves developing sourcing strategies, driving supplier performance, and delivering cost efficiency while maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, market expertise, and a strategic mindset to manage complex procurement projects across hardware, software, and IT services.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business units to optimize spend, enhance supplier relationships, and implement procurement best practices that support The Elite Jobs global technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for technology categories including software, hardware, cloud services, and IT consulting.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, process improvements, and innovations within the procurement function.

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities — from supplier identification and tendering to contract negotiation and vendor performance management.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals and technology roadmaps.

  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and supplier capabilities to ensure The Elite Job remains competitive.

  • Lead supplier relationship management programs to enhance collaboration, compliance, and sustainability performance.

  • Negotiate high-value contracts and commercial agreements to achieve the best value for the organization.

  • Develop procurement metrics and dashboards to track category performance and savings.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical procurement standards.

  • Mentor junior procurement team members and support continuous capability building across the function.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong experience in managing procurement categories, ideally within the technology or IT sector.

  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) and data analytics tools.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication abilities.

  • Fluent in English (additional European languages are an advantage).

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence at senior levels.

Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years focused on technology categories.

  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale sourcing initiatives and complex vendor ecosystems.

  • Previous experience in an international, matrixed organization is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, remote position based in Spain.

  • Standard business hours (Monday to Friday), with flexibility to collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones.
