Job Summary

As a Teamleiter Instandhaltung (Maintenance Team Leader) within Amazons Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) department, you will lead a team of technicians to ensure the optimal performance of our state-of-the-art material handling equipment and automation systems. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the highest safety standards, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across our fulfillment centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and support a maintenance team during your shift, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.

  • Equipment Monitoring: Utilize SCADA systems to monitor equipment performance, conducting visual inspections and condition-based monitoring to identify potential issues.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and execute preventive maintenance tasks to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.

  • Issue Resolution: Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve equipment failures swiftly, minimizing operational disruptions.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency across the EU network.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards, fostering a culture of safety within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Completed technical vocational training recognized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) or a relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in operating and maintaining material handling equipment and automation systems.

  • Leadership Skills: Experience in leading and developing technical teams, with a focus on performance and safety.

  • Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Communication Skills: Fluent in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
