About The Role

A Technician 2, BMS Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all building systems within the property, supporting both guest comfort and operational excellence. Responsible for conducting preventive and condition-based maintenance, this role oversees the performance of key systems through the Building Management System (BMS), including HVAC, lighting, water systems, elevators, fire safety, and refrigeration.

Working closely with the engineering team, the Technician monitors BMS alarms, adjusts system parameters based on occupancy and environmental conditions, and ensures optimal settings are maintained in guest rooms, public areas, and specialized zones such as aquatic animal exhibits. The Technician also logs system performance data, escalates issues promptly, and ensures all tasks are carried out in line with safety protocols and brand standards.

This position requires flexibility to work on a rotational shift basis, strong technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and colleagues. The Technician is also expected to support the development of junior team members and uphold the highest standards of service delivery within a dynamic hospitality setting.

About You

As a Technician 2, BMS Operator, you are expected to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. You have a strong technical foundation and a hands-on approach to maintaining complex building systems in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You Possess

  • The ability to execute assigned tasks according to standard facilities maintenance procedures, including operation and monitoring of mechanical plant rooms, Energy Transfer Stations (ETS), and utility readings.
  • A diploma or trade school certification in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a technical trade, preferably within a large-scale or hospitality environment.
  • Sound knowledge and hands-on experience with large-scale HVAC equipment, particularly ETS and AHUs.
  • Certification or training in Building Management Systems, especially Siemens systems, is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs and workplace safety practices.
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and rectification skills across various trades related to facilities maintenance.
