Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join our construction projects team. The Welding Technician will be responsible for carrying out high-quality welding tasks, fabricating metal components, and ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards. This role is critical to the durability, precision, and overall safety of construction structures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on welding experience, and a commitment to maintaining safety protocols at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabrication of structural steel, pipelines, and other construction materials.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.

  • Inspect and measure welded components to ensure compliance with project standards.

  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery in good working condition.

  • Adhere to company and industry safety guidelines while performing welding operations.

  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to meet project deadlines.

  • Perform quality checks and repair welds when necessary.

  • Keep accurate records of welding work, inspections, and materials used.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Arc welding.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

  • Proficiency in using hand tools, welding machines, and measuring instruments.

  • Good physical stamina and ability to work in demanding construction environments.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Basic understanding of construction safety standards and procedures.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years of welding experience in construction, fabrication, or related industries.

  • Certification in welding (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects will be an added advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project deadlines.

  • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow protocols.
