We are looking for two Part-Time couriers who are young, energetic, reliable and physically fit to support us delivering premium packages and support our operations team to meet and exceed customer expectations. You will be part of a multi-national, multi-cultural and diverse and talented team to learn from and share your own expertise.

Candidate MUST possess a Valid UAE manual Driving license, and a general geographical knowledge of Abu Dhabi would be required/preferred.

This is a Part-Time Position where you will be scheduled for a 24-hour work week on a rotating schedule. You will be required to work on weekends, public holidays and on special ADHOC shuttling between FedEx locations in addition to certain extended area coverage. This position is also eligible for overtime as per FedEx policy.

Your main duties include but are not limited to:
Pickup/transport/deliver supplies, mail, materials, paper records and equipment on a daily basis and distribute to customer locations.
Respond to and update your supervisor and dispatcher of all problems, new issues and ideas for change.
Utilize appropriate telephone skills and etiquette, responding to customers or internally.
Provide professional & efficient services relating to the delivery & pick-up (by vehicle) of customer packages whilst ensuring that all FedEx & legal requirements relating to the safe & secure movement of packages are met. Perform all activities without compromising safe working/driving practices.
Performs physical loading/unloading of trucks/containers & sortation of documents &/or boxes, ensuring accurate completion within defined timeframes.
Ensure the ongoing security of the vehicle & packages by taking all reasonable precautions & following defined safety & security procedures.

Physically fit, able to lift 32kg & move 70 kg
Your valid UAE driving license should over 6 months and have some driving experience.
(Experience of driving a commercial vehicle is preferred)
Fluent in local language/s
(Good command of English)

Grade - 4

Responsible for the completion of operational processes at station and hub locations which may include ramp and sort operations, courier and dispatch operations. Ensures processes are completed safely and in a timely fashion.

Provides professional & efficient services relating to the delivery & pick-up (by vehicle) of customer packages whilst ensuring that all FedEx & legal requirements relating to the safe & secure movement of packages are met. Performs all activities without compromising safe working/driving practices.

 

Performs physical loading/unloading of trucks/containers & sortation of documents &/or boxes, ensuring accurate completion within defined timeframes.

 

Performs defined pre & post trip vehicle checks including ensuring adequate levels of supplies and completing accurate & timely Vehicle Inspection Report documentation. Ensures the ongoing security of the vehicle & packages by taking all reasonable precautions & following defined safety & security procedures.

Sorts & loads documents & boxes in a logical flow to support optimal productivity on the delivery route. Highlights any difference to the agreed stop count and pro-actively seeks to balance routes with the route ‘coordinator’.

 

Optimizes results by effectively managing own time throughout the day; includes prioritizing the sequence of tasks &taking on additional responsibilities when possible.

Uses defined tools to perform accurate & timely scanning, recording & transferring of data for diverse types of performance tracking/compliance activities.

Ensures that all necessary documentation (delivery records, pick-up manifests, time cards etc) are completed accurately & audits customer documentation (AWB, customs paperwork, commercial invoice etc) to ensure it is accurate and complete. Compiles, files & processes paperwork in accordance with local procedures.

 

Delivers packages & processes exceptions (R.O.D.’s, incorrect addresses, customer closed etc) in the most logical order to achieve the different service commitments whilst ensuring that all standard procedures are followed & taking account of the customers needs.

 

Maximizes customer satisfaction & operational efficiency by effectively dealing with all types of customer queries & requests, resolving those that fall within the job remit & escalating others to the appropriate department.

Plans the route, re-prioritizes stops, to effectively complete pick-ups within Customer & FedEx time-windows and to meet defined productivity targets. Processes packages in accordance with defined procedures e.g. security scan, cash collection, correct routing, paperwork etc. and advises customer on correct completion of documentation & packaging.

 

Pro-actively seeks opportunities to generate additional revenue & improve customer satisfaction by identifying & highlighting sales & automation opportunities that support the customers business.

 

Performs any additional related duties that support operational achievement of results.

A.E. / CSC – develop relationships that support the business retention & growth

Dispatch – keep abreast of developments, agree actions needed on exception issues

Valid UAE manual Driving license is required. Abu Dhabi area knowledge is preferred.
