Job Summary

SysTechCare Support is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This remote position requires a proactive professional who can manage and maintain complex IT infrastructure, ensure system reliability, optimize performance, and implement best practices for security and scalability. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, possess strong technical expertise, and have experience working in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the organizations servers, networks, and systems infrastructure.

  • Manage installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows/Linux servers and associated software.

  • Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and data protection policies.

  • Monitor system performance and proactively address bottlenecks and outages.

  • Handle user administration, including permissions, access control, and account management.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and procedures.

  • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime.

  • Provide 3rd-level technical support for escalated IT issues.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless system integration and functionality.

  • Develop and enforce IT policies and best practices for systems administration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role in a corporate environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).

  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.

  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance standards.

Experience

  • Minimum: 5+ years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure roles.

  • Preferred: Experience working in remote or global IT environments supporting enterprise systems.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position with flexible remote working hours.
