Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Remote Insurance Underwriter to join our Property & Casualty division. This role involves evaluating insurance applications, assessing risk, and determining coverage terms for clients across a variety of sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of underwriting principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to make informed decisions independently while working remotely.

As a Remote Insurance Underwriter, you will play a key role in safeguarding our companys financial interests while providing excellent service and support to policyholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze insurance applications for property and casualty coverage.

  • Assess risk factors, evaluate exposure, and determine appropriate premiums and coverage limits.

  • Collaborate with agents, brokers, and other stakeholders to clarify policy details and resolve queries.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare risk reports and document underwriting decisions accurately.

  • Identify trends and emerging risks in the property and casualty market to inform decision-making.

  • Support portfolio management by monitoring ongoing risks and policy renewals.

  • Participate in audits, training sessions, and continuous professional development programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and underwriting software.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.

  • Knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry standards is highly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in insurance underwriting, preferably in property and casualty insurance.

  • Experience in risk assessment, policy evaluation, and coverage determination.

  • Prior remote work experience is a plus but not required.
